Native American Day

This year, we are going to be hosting our very first Native American Day. It will take place next week on Wednesday, September 19th, 2012.  All 4th and 5th graders will take part in the four, 30 minute rotations that will be held that day.  Students will have the opportunity to carve a canoe (on a bar of soap,) write a message with native american symbols onleather-like paper (brown paper bag,) weave a small mat, mold a figure with clay, and finally watch a Native American video.  Students are being asked that they wear comfortable clothes that day that if damaged/painted on, will be okay.

Any parent that is available to volunteer that day in one of our rotations is more than welcome!  So please, join us for a fun-filled, educational experience for your child!
